Permanent supportive housing
Long-term rental help for adults with disabilities who have been homeless, paired with support to stay housed. Tenants pay about 30% of their income toward rent.
It is hard to heal from anything while living on the street. The Life Link helps people who are unhoused find a safe place to live, and helps people on the edge keep the home they have.
FY2026 is July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
We follow Housing First: a person does not have to earn a home by getting sober or finishing treatment first. A stable home comes first, because everything else is easier from there.
We often house the people with the highest need on the community waitlist, the ones other programs pass over. And because housing sits inside The Life Link, a new tenant is already linked to therapy, psychiatry, peer support and case management down the hall.

Short-term rental help that moves people from the street into a home quickly, with regular check-ins along the way.
Help with back rent, utilities and forward rent so a household facing eviction can stay where they are.
Deposits, application fees and first month's rent: the costs that keep people stuck even when they have found a place.
Reduced-rent apartments at partner properties across Santa Fe and Los Alamos, held for people we serve.
Transitional and emergency housing for survivors of human trafficking, linked to our aftercare team.
Short-term assistance may be available. Call The Life Link Housing Department at (505) 395-2531 to get screened.
Help depends on available funding and eligibility.
A stable home is the first link. Health, work and family all get easier from there.
Services are always offered and never required to get or keep a home.
We take referrals for the most vulnerable people on the waitlist, not the easiest to place.
Housing staff work hand in hand with our clinical, outreach and peer teams.
